Fading Memories
by James G. Piatt

Fading memories,
Thin lines of
Whispering tomorrows,
A never-ending litany
Of that which is ephemeral and
Finite collapses in a cacophony
Of unspoken hours,
While aromas of roses
Covering a faded white arbor,
Emit silent musings
Of long lost lovers.
