Attention Please
by John M. Davis

The loudspeaker announces me found again.
The voice asks you to pick up the yellow courtesy phone,
Or come to the Kids' Korral and get me.
It's what happens when you're not paying attention.
I know you're on your way;
I even know what you're going to say:
"Where have you been?"
As if you didn't hear the announcement.
