Only Here
by Diane Webster

Fog erases so no in-between exists
only here where one is afraid to leave
for fear the next step steps into nothing,
and yet a stop beyond
sunshine might rainbow sky
from shore to shore
so decision effervesces
like fog particles on skin
both luring and suffocating,
go or stay both balanced
on this step only here.
