The Cracker's Revenge
by Thomas Lee Rhymes

Remember me
the saltine said
as the peanut butter
began to spread

On the salty surface
the paste is laid
like asphalt thick on
a hot summer's day

Remember me
When this foul deed is done
As part of you
I will become

Remember as
you turn to bed
that upon my body
you have fed

That down your gullet
I've been thrown
as an aftermath of
a life unknown

Remember me
the saltine laughed
I'll be one more reason
for your heart attack
