Snapshot
by Loretta Diane Walker

Sun’s wide angle lens
captured Plaza Pond’s
dehydrated face.
White rocks along its parched mouth
dried like decayed old teeth.
Its dusty cheeks desperate
for a long tongue of water.
Drought posed, pouted all summer
as the sun took selfies
on my front windshield.
